At SummerCode, we believe in empowering brilliant thinkers. We have designed each week of this summer for our students learn how to code, meet amazing mentors in tech, and immerse themselves in the Silicon Valley dream. We support the growth of intellectual confidence, which we believe promotes positive self-esteem and confidence in all areas of their lives.
In a single day, a SummerCoder could build a Harry Potter video game, visit Google's Headquarters, play ultimate frisbee in Central Park, and see the world through virtual reality.
SummerCoders learn to embrace the true entrepreneurial mindset, learn the fundamentals of programming logic, and explore their passions. They find a balance between coding, outdoor activities, hands-on experience, and expert mentorship.
In the mornings, coders are hard at work solving logic problems, building websites, designing video games or prototyping apps. In the afternoon, we take the fun outdoors and play games like soccer, basketball or capture the flag in Central Park. Every week, coders will see what all the buzz around Silicon Valley through field trips to Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other innovative startups.
Our staff is passionate about empowering self-directed learners. Whether it means building computer chips, working with robotics, or pursuing less tech-oriented projects such as sewing a jacket or writing a novel, our counselors support the interests and excitement of each and every coder.
At SummerCode, we empower our students to learn how to learn. We foster self-confidence, grit and curiosity in every class. We strive to leave students feeling they can learn anything they want to.
