Martin Luther King Jr. Day Mini Camps

Give Back and Get Coding on a Day Off From School

This January 18th, join TCS for a special one-day virtual coding event in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Coders will embark on cool STEM explorations and coding challenges as well as games, activities, and more. And in honor of the holiday, we’ve planned something special.

Every camper who has a plan in place to do an act of service by the start of camp on January 18th will receive a $10 credit towards a future class or camp. Just reply to your registration confirmation email with a description of what your child will do to help someone else and the credit will be applied to your account.

To learn more about this important event, the inspiration behind it, and for ideas on how your child can give back, visit our blog.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?'”
—Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mini-Camp Options

Choose from 1.5 or 3-hour options on Monday, January 18th between 10:00am-1:00pm. Our 1.5-hour program will include a warm-up activity and project-based coding. In our 3-hour program, kids will also participate in a hands-on activity, such as The Coding Space Cooks or Scavenger Hunt, and choose from STEM electives like 3D modeling, pixel art, or level design. Pick the best option for you and your child! Ages 6+. We recommend the 1.5-hour option for ages 6 & 7.
