AI Builders

AI & Vibe Coding Classes for Grades 5-8

Weekly after-school AI classes for middle schoolers at Upper East Side, Park Slope, and Online

Fall 2026 Classes Now Enrolling

Your child already uses AI. Now they'll build with it.

If your child has searched Google or asked Alexa a question, they have already used AI. But do they know how it actually works, where it breaks, or how to use it as a creative tool?

AI Builders gives students a hands-on, age-appropriate introduction to artificial intelligence through coding, data, and creative projects.

Throughout the course, students create a portfolio of interactive, meaningful projects that show how AI can recognize patterns, make predictions, and enhance their own creative ideas. Along the way, they also learn about responsible AI use, data ethics, and what it really means to “teach” a model.

Create with Cutting-Edge Tools

Students explore how AI actually works by building with it.
They use fun, accessible tools such as:

  • Teachable Machine → train image/sound models
  • Machine Learning for Kids → build text-based models
  • AI art + music generators → design characters, worlds, and sound
  • micro:bit Create AI, Arduino, & more → train models using real sensor data (in-person only)
  • Lovable → vibe code websites and apps to bring ideas to life

All while learning why AI behaves the way it does and how to use it responsibly.

Not Your Typical Learning Environment

At The Coding Space, we specialize in providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for kids to have fun, be challenged, and discover their passions. Our teachers never lecture; instead, they ask targeted questions using the Socratic Method to get students thinking and problem solving on their own. By focusing on the development of computational thinking skills, intellectual confidence, self-expression, and independence, our students learn to code and create with tech while growing as thinkers, learners, and leaders.
